On Saturday, May 18, 2024 leaders of the Braxton Institute for Sustainability, Resiliency and Joy Reparations for Lakeland Now! team (Dr.Joanne Braxton, Maxine Gross, Richael Faithful, Esq. and Rev. Dr. Rebecca Parker) convened a select strategy session with partner participation by the Chair of College Park-Lakeland Restorative Justice Commission, the President of the Lakeland Community Heritage Project and the President of the Lakeland Civic Association, together with project consultants, Rev. Dale Snyder, Rev. Dwight Cokely, and University of Maryland urban planning doctoral student, Bi'Anncha Andrews.
